: S5 Image and Content Fader Errors with Game World Template : billhigbee December 30, 2015, 01:56:42 PM I configured the Image and Content Fader to exactly match your Site Shaper configuration and still have the following errors:
When using Mootools/Jquery for Javascript: - All four of my images show on my home page. No effects happen. - Text appears above the images It does not appear on top of the images, like your site shaper does - My website materials (e.g. Articles, Menu, etc) do not show on the home page. When using Legacy (S5 Effects) for Javascript: - My images will fade-in on my home page - No Text appears. It does not appear on top of the images, like your site shaper does - My website materials (e.g. Articles, Menu, etc) do not show on the home page. My website is http://kidamentals.com/ I have left the error up on my site so you can look. I have the Legacy (S5 Effects) version showing since the pictures at least fade in and out. Please help resolve Thanks, Bill : Re: S5 Image and Content Fader Errors with Game World Template : mikek December 30, 2015, 02:06:22 PM Hello,
I would need to see it set to Jquery, the template is not stylized for legacy and should not be used for this design. You most likely have a javascript conflict coming from somewhere, so I need to see it with Jquery enabled to try and determine where that is coming from. : Re: S5 Image and Content Fader Errors with Game World Template : billhigbee December 30, 2015, 02:32:56 PM I enabled Jquery.
When you visit my site, you have to scroll down before you see the pictures. Thanks, Bill : Re: S5 Image and Content Fader Errors with Game World Template : billhigbee December 30, 2015, 05:08:30 PM RESOLVED! I found the issue. I had the ScriptMerge extension which merges CSS and Javascript to speed up the website. I have removed the extension and my Image and Content Fader now works.
If you are aware of an alternative to ScriptMerge that works with your templates or suggestions, I'd appreciate it. If not... No bid deal. Thanks for the help! - Bill : Re: S5 Image and Content Fader Errors with Game World Template : mikek December 31, 2015, 07:52:46 AM Hello,
You should not try to merge scripts. These tools cause more harm than good, javascript must be called in very specific orders, ie: one script relies on the scripts called before it. They also won't speed up the site, it just reduces the amount of http requests, instead it adds an extra process to the site load where it has to combine the files instead of just calling them like default. |
