I have some basic questions how to setup the homepage as shown in the demo. I feel like a complete idiot but I cannot figure out how I setup the home page as shown in the demo. For example I like to set a full width image and inside this image some text, in your demo you have WELCOME TO YOUR DESIGN CONTROL CENTER text, with some extra text and the read more and features buttons. Also I like the 2 columns with the icons and the read more buttons. I am new to Joomla and I know you have to use the correct modules but I cannot figure out which ones. If you want a copy of the homepage you would need to install the site shaper, which is a complete copy of the demo itself. Thanks for your reply. I like to set it up manually but I only cannot find in the theme settings how to do it. I like to set full width image on the frontpage below the header like in the demo with some text and the 2 buttons. Can you give me a hint where I have to look, I read through the instructions and checked all the forum messages but till now I was not able to figure out how to set the full width image on the home-page. What I would suggest doing then is installing the site shaper in a sub folder. Could you please let me know that if I install the files in a subfolder, would the demo-looking website be available on the main site www.domainname.com or only under www.domainname.com/subfolder ? It would be live at whatever folder you install the site shaper to. I am not sure why you would move it? If you're just installing it for reference, you would install it any folder you would like and then delete when you are done with it. If you want your main site to be built off of the site shaper you should start with the site shaper first and tweak the site shaper to your liking. |
