: How to move to an anchor in the template ? : agatti March 22, 2016, 04:28:30 AM Hi there,
I would like to create a main menu entry in the home page, that points to a specific area in the template. Assume I want a menu entry called "Newsletter" and that menu should produce a smooth scroll effect down in the page, until we reach the module to join the newsletter. How can I achieve that ? In practice I need to obtain a smooth scroll effect, and I believe I will need to edit the template.css file, but I'm not sure how to do the above 2 things. Thank-you for the help! regards AG : Re: How to move to an anchor in the template ? : mikek March 22, 2016, 07:25:37 AM Hello,
You can scroll to any ID on the page that starts with "s5_". You can read more about that here: http://www.shape5.com/demo/incline/index.php/features-mainmenu-47/template-features/menu-scroll-to : Re: How to move to an anchor in the template ? : agatti March 22, 2016, 08:14:48 AM Mike, wonderful, this is what I needed. I'm about to test it now!
Thanks Regards AG : Re: How to move to an anchor in the template ? : agatti March 22, 2016, 08:41:55 AM Hi Mike, i followed your advice and tested it, and on a desktop, it works like a charme. However, on a smartphone, once the page scrolls to "#s5_top_row2_area1" in my case, the hamburger menu disappears, and I can't get it back. In other words I remain with the hamburger menu open and I can't close it to get back to the main page. Does it happen to you as well ?
If you want to see it, try accessing http://www.elementotango.it/test The menu with the scroll function activated is the "Chi Siamo" one, and then the menu item is the 3rd from the top: "Le Attivit?". If you click it, you scroll down to the "#s5_top_row2_area1" section. When you do all this on a smartphone (I used responsivator to test it) you'll get the issue. Thanks Mike again! I'm sorry I don't see this on your site, where is the hamburger menu located? : Re: How to move to an anchor in the template ? : agatti March 22, 2016, 10:24:04 AM Hello Mike. The Hamburger menu is visibile when you access the site from a smartphone, or via responsivator. Basically the main menu is converted into the hamburger menu (or at least I call it burger menu), you know the menu appearing on small screen devices.
Thanks! AG : Re: How to move to an anchor in the template ? : mikek March 22, 2016, 11:36:00 AM Hello,
I am not sure if there's going to be a way around that. The sidebar is meant to only show the menu and not really interact with the site when it's open. You can try adding the following to custom.css but I am not sure if it will work: .s5_responsive_mobile_sidebar_body_wrap { overflow-y:visible !important; } The other thing that might work is enabling the floating top bar under Main / Responsive Nav : Re: How to move to an anchor in the template ? : agatti March 23, 2016, 08:08:41 AM Hi Mike thanks! As you said, unfortunately I can't get the effect that I need, since closing the burger menu causes the page to go back to the top and does not stay to the #anchor.
