: Classifeds template and Joomanager
: hbagg April 01, 2016, 03:51:42 AM
Hi there
I have the classifieds template and bought joomanager to go with it. All went well until I tried to create a category menu list (from joomanager) I kept getting an SQL error - see attachment. I went to the Joomanager site and well to be frank they were not helpful since I had already done the steps they suggested.  In desperation I removed Joomanager (both from the Joomla and Cpanel) with the intention of reinstalling it on my cpanel however I could not access the installed file in browser to set it up - a problem now being dealt with by the host providers. It also seems to have caused a problem with me trying install any extensions in my admin panel: installation folder not found.

My question is this: Is there a way I can save the work I have done on the template, remove it and reinstall everything again including Joomanager and then add my saved work back? Or can anyone think of an alternative way around all this.
OR should I just delete all and start over?
Thanks :o

Hello,

You can try doing a repair on the database by going to "extensions > manage > database" and then click fix in the top left corner. I could take a look for you first hand and see if there is anything I can do to assist. I would just need you to PM me FTP and Joomla login details.

Regarding specific work you've done on the template, if you mean edits to the template CSS or index.php file then yes you can easily back this up. If you mean modules created, articles created, etc then this wouldn't really be possible without a lot of work.

Thanks for that - I have tried the 'fix' but no joy. How do I pm you - sorry if this sounds really stupid but I looked at your profile and there was no obvious way to do it.
Really appreciate your help.
