: user registration problem and store safe path problem : sjacobs May 11, 2016, 10:22:21 AM Hi,
I'm working on a store with GCK store template. having 2 problems : 1: user registration. : user can register, gets the form and can complete it but it then stays just there on the screen, no message, no "ok you can now log in" no mails are sent, nothing happens. on the backend I can see the new user, he is active and when you try to log in it all works just fine. How can I give the new user the message that registration works? sending testmails works just fine (SMTP) second problem. on GCK store I get the following error : vmError: Warning, the Veilig pad (safe path in english) is not accessible (does not exist or no permission). For safety reasons it is very important to create a folder in a path not accessible by an URL or unguessable name, create also a folder 'invoices' and 'keys' in it to store your sensitive data secure. Our suggested path is for your system '/sites/vleesengezond.be/vmfiles/'. You can also use complex folder name as 'password' for example '/sites/vleesengezond.be/www/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/AO4HQyMcP19a/'. Use this link to the config vmError: Warning, the Veilig pad is not accessible (does not exist or no permission). 1. The template does not control any of that, these functions are completely handled by Joomla. What registration form are you using, the default Joomla one? Double check your mail settings in the Joomla global configuration as well. 2. I have never seen that error message, but it is a Virtuemart error message, not something outputted by the template. I would suggest checking on virtuemart.net's forum board for further information on what it means. I believe it's saying it's not accessible, which may be an ownership issue (not a chmod issue) on the server, of either that folder or it's parent folders; only your host could determine that. |
