Hi there
We have the classifieds template and bought joomanager to use with it.

We are an association, and the ads are free for our associated, how can we set Joomanager to let only a certain class of users to be able to post ads?
Other registered users can access/login to the site but not post ads (the modify profile/add ads buttons should be only visible to a particular user category)

Hello Unarco,

There is no way to allow certain classes of people to post and others not to. The only way is via ads and so you can have paid ads and free and each ad can restrict or allow posting in certain categories. But there is no ACL option for each user on the frontend, only in the backend is there ACL.

I would like just a behaviour like the articles inside Joomla, where it's possible to have an "access" option to decide which user category can have access to the joomanager.

Can this be possible please?

Just to double check you are referring to the backend of Joomanager, like when you login to Joomla and then go to the Joomanager component?

I mean just the  "access"option in many of the standard Joomla Administration (like menus and articles), where it is possible to set the access to "Public" or some other more restricted access to drive with the user categories.

i.e.: I leave only some categories of users to access some menu items, just selecting such above categories from the Joomla administration menu, using the  "access" option and selecting the proper user category from the drop down field.

Oh it will automatically do this depending on the level of access the user has. A super user has full access while as others will have restricted, there is no way to set it but it will automatically happen.

I would like just that only a particular category of users can see the buttons "My Profile" and "Add Ads", is this possible? and how please?

Oh ok I understand, no unfortunately that is not possible. You would need to hire a coder to add this functionality in. Those buttons show to any registered logged in user.
