Just wanted to update you on some info on the Regan Tech theme. After trying for 4 days to install Stack Ideas Easy Discuss 3.8 or New version 4 there is errors where it will not allow ED to install on this theme. After the Support from Stack Ideas had looked into this they looked at the tables, php and other issues their component will not install. We tried updating php to 5.6, 7.0 and even updated the Mysql Still nothing. We then tried 3 other themes and all installed just fine. Could you please check this theme for issues. We also uploaded and installed Easy Profile and other 3rd part components and all installed. When we installed their other component Easy Blog, it did not install. A template does not have any control over how extensions install, a template is not even loaded in the backend of Joomla. The installation process of an extension is completely 100% between Joomla and the extension itself. If you installed with a site shaper, that is just a default Joomla install with our own demo content in it with the same default table structure as any other Joomla site. "We then tried their products on other themes from you and all worked" ----Again the template has no way to have an effect on this. If you mean different Joomla install, each site shaper is built off of the last one. In other words Regan Tech was built off of Big Business, and Big Business was built off of Health Guide. We do this so that the demo content remains in tact. So the installs are actually all the same as well except for the demo content and what products are actually installed, neither of which would effect the installation of another extension. It sounds to me like something went wrong with the original install and perhaps there are some table issues because of that. That is something that the extension developer needs to correct. I couldn't provide support on installing someone else's extensions, nor do I have the knowledge of how their extension is supposed to install or function. |
