: Installing Site Shaper on a multisite install
: sbhhealth June 28, 2016, 03:22:29 PM
Hi,

We like the way the demo is set up and don't want to create content from scratch. We would like to install the theme in a site as part of an multi site configuration. Looking at the Site Shaper video, it looks like we have to start from a fresh WP install and create the WP database.  That was already done when the multisite was created. Is there a way to install Site Shaper without creating a new WP install and database?  Is it a matter of copying your demo page and posts and plugins (assuming we can test by installing Site Shaper into a fresh server, for testing).

As long as you're using one of the newer shapers (everything new enough to still be relevant), you can just copy the wp-content folder to your server, then activate the "Sample Data Injector" plugin on the sub-site where you want the shaper installed.

I highly recommend deleting the plugin after it installs the sample data, as it erases all existing data before installing the sample content.

I definitely recommend using a test server as a reference, just to make sure you have access to the demo content during the full process of setting up the real site.

You can also find written instructions on how to install a shaper on the Wordpress FAQ (http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,23923.0/); the "auto-installer" method is closest to what you would do for a multisite.
