i went to top row one in the theme options and it says no background. i look in firebug and it is calling an image to float in from the left. how or where do i remove that

Any image that slides in after the page loads would have to be set up using a widget.  If you look at it with Firebug, you'll be able to see which widget position it's located in by looking at the code above it.

i installed with your site shaper. there is nothing in the widget area.

If it's not in a widget, then it would be on the "Specific" tab of the theme options, as it's not a core framework feature.

i installed your site shaper and it is from there. i removed the widgets in the tab area and from custom. it is still coming up. it isn't in the theme settings for background. it slides in.

As I said previously, it's in the theme options on the "Specific" tab; not background settings.  It's a release-specific feature, not part of the core framework.

i guess i'm not following. i went into the theme settings and no where could i find it.
can you step out exactly what to do to get to this tab?

From the admin menu:  "Shape 5 Theme -> Theme Specific"
