Does the S5 CSS and JS compressor conflict with the template? Are there advantages of using both, say to compress CSS and JS from other Joomla extensions?

That is an older plugin and we don't recommend using it anymore. There is compression for css and js built directly into the template configuration that you can use instead and is designed to work with Vertex. |
