: No more small background images - Google don't like them

It would be good if you use sprites instead of many small background images. Alternatively, it should be possible to choose to use icons

Sprites should of course be optimized as possible.

Google does not like small background images, so it pulls very down to the PageSpeed

It would also be good if we can choose between several versions of Font Awesome and Bootstrap in Vertex, so we can benefit from the new opportunities

Hello,

Thanks for the suggestions. The background images are meant to be unique images that the user uploads. A sprite would pull from a common file that is shared. It's not something a standard user would be able to do.

We do not use Bootstrap or Font Awesome in our design, they are included in the framework only to stylize default Joomla pages. We primarily use Ion Icons in the designs due to their reliability and good history of backwards compatibility.

Background images: I'm thinking about background images as arrows in menu , scroll to top etc. which already is used in the templates

Icons: I'm primary using Ion Icons too - they are awesome.

Bootstrap and Font Awesome: I know you don't use them, but you already have them in Vertex. I'm just suggesting to make it possible to choose between several versions, because it would be a good options for a lot of users
