: Hide Component Question

Fitness Center template

I'd like to hide the content component on my front page, thus closing the white gap between the custom_2 and bottom row modules.

However, when I hide the content component on the front page, when someone clicks the latest news or event links at the bottom of the front page, the result is pages without the content being displayed. I know Joomla takes display cues from the previous page. Do you have a suggestion on how to fix this?

Right now, component content is enabled on the site home page. http://www.gobodyworks.com (http://www.gobodyworks.com) - but if you need to test, I can PM login details.

Hello,

That is because you need a new menu item setup for that content. The way your site is setup right now the content of those articles has no menu item, so they automatically inherit the page assignment and module layout of the parent page, ie: the homepage. That is the default way that Joomla works. What you need to do is create a new menu that points to the articles' category, and on that new menu item you can change any module you wish and make sure the component is set to show. By not doing that Joomla doesn't know what page to show the articles on.
