I have a site I'm supporting that uses an old version of Joomla (2.5.14) with the Soul Search template (an old version from 2012/4 or so). Our hosting site has updated PHP and now nothing works...so I gather it's time to upgrade to Joomla 3.X. I don't have a lot of experience with Joomla, How do I go about doing this for the template and various extensions we've got from Shape5? For the template you would actually need to grab the 3.0 version and reinstall it. You would also need to reinstall all the Shape5 modules/plugins on your site to be sure you are running the latest versions of them. For the modules you can just overwrite them via FTP so you don't lose your settings. Or since you are offline just overwrite in each folder directly. |
