: Module 1 Background Color: where is this?? : phoenix710 October 23, 2017, 12:08:36 PM There are three settings available in the blogazine Theme Specific page,
Module 1 Background Color Module 2 Background Color Module 3 Background Color I've set these to odd colors in an attempt to find out where they are, I've searched thru the appropriate forum (club), as well as to perform a site search on Shape5.com to find any reference to them. I've found nothing. To what modules do these refer? They certainly appear to be well-hidden (or an over-use of the term "module"). Also, hovering over the icon pulls up the less-than-helpful hint: "Choose a background color for the module x style." I had guessed that much... Thanks. -------------------- Edit: The "documentation" for the template states: "-MODULE1 This is the -module1 module style and can be applied to most most module positions. The color for this module position can be set in the Vertex admin area" I had already setup the admin area (mentioned above); this produced the following in the HTML page source: .module_round_box-module1 { background:#49D164 !important;} .module_round_box-module2 { background:#ffecb2 !important;} .module_round_box-module3 { background:#EEEC17 !important;} (these are the colors I chose for testing, so that much worked) I then set up three custom modules and located them in the above_body_1 to above_body_3 positions. I then set the Module Class Suffix for each to: "modulex" " modulex" "-modulex" " -modulex" where "x" was 1, 2, or 3 as applicable. The suffix was seen in the HTML page source, but the colors were not applied in any of the permutations. How is the "-modulex" style to be applied? Nothing seems to work. : Re: Module 1 Background Color: where is this?? : jonahh October 23, 2017, 02:14:26 PM Hello,
We don't have a module x style on this template on the ones in the right position shown here: http://www.shape5.com/demo/the_blogazine/index.php/features-mainmenu-47/template-features/92-module-positions : Re: Module 1 Background Color: where is this?? : phoenix710 October 23, 2017, 02:21:25 PM You missed the part where I wrote:
"where "x" was 1, 2, or 3 as applicable." This was shorthand for module1 module2 module3 : Re: Module 1 Background Color: where is this?? : jonahh October 24, 2017, 11:41:55 AM Oh I'm sorry, I read too fast :) Can you please post a URL where this occurs at so I can see whats going on?
Thanks, : Re: Module 1 Background Color: where is this?? : phoenix710 October 24, 2017, 12:12:01 PM I'm overwriting that site with the StorePro Site Shaper demo. However, since that template has the same options, I'll let you know if/when I get it running for a test.
The basic question was simply: if I place a new color in Module 1 background, for example, how/where do I use the -module1 suffix? No combination I tested worked. (See original notes.) I think that I understand how module suffixes work, and I could see them applied in the page source classes for the module being tested. It's just that the color specified in the template didn't get applied. : Re: Module 1 Background Color: where is this?? : jonahh October 25, 2017, 11:35:16 AM Yes that is odd. I would need to take a first hand look at your site to a module that you applied the suffix to. All you should need to do is add the suffix of "-modulex" in the admin of each module.
