: itye1970 November 10, 2017, 02:44:58 AM
I have assigned a menu to a page yet the text in the menu is white, as the background is white i cant see it. Also have this porblem when I create an article and then publish it the text is also white, I have to then manually go in anad select the Black coloe from the editor! However the menus I cannot find a way to change to Black color.

I need to be able to have the black colour be default when i create articles, i need the side menu options to be black , can you advise . this link demonstrates the issues with the menus

Hello,

The accordion menu is designed to be published to "left" or to "right" which has a darker background which you can see here:

http://www.shape5.com/demo/game_world/index.php/extensions/s5-accordion-menu

You currently have the module published to left_inset, which has a white background. You need to publish it to "left" so that it shows on a dark background.

The menu is now okay but im still having problems with white text when I create an article. I create a new article type in  some text then when it gets published its white?  can you advise how to fix this?

When i write an article and publish it the text is not visible on the page as it is white, i need the font colour to be black yet its always white when i publish an article

Thank you

Hello,

I need an exact url to where this can be seen so I can see what is applying the white text; please provide that link. The link you provided above is already showing properly.

Hello,

It's because you have the center area set to use a custom background, but you aren't actually using one - you have it set to white. When you set a custom background color it's assuming it's a darker color so it makes the text white. White is default so there's no need to apply it.

You can fix this one of two ways:

1. In the template configuration go to Main/Layout and go to the Center Area section and open the background image icons. Under both of those icons set "Set Your Own Custom Background?" to "No" and save "Choose a background color" as empty. Close the popups and save the configuration.

2. In custom.css add the following:

.s5_yes_custom_bg, .s5_yes_custom_bg h3 {
color:#000000 !important;
}

#1 would be the preferred method since this is a configuration issue.

many thanks that solution worked, i had no idea a background image was set , it must have been set by accident, however it is very useful to know that was the issue as i was looking for a font colour setting.

Many thanks for your help
