Hi

 After the update, Joomla version the main menu was gone so I tried to install Shape5 Vertex Framework Updater component and all site disappeared.and to solve that I had to restore the site 4 months ago and lost lots of info. how can I update Joomla without damage my site again?

what can be done to fix that?

The component won't destroy your site. It only updates the template files. If you need assistance updating please PM me Joomla and FTP login details and I can get it updated for you.

Ok, I just installed the Vertex component, clicked update and now its up to date.

the site is not working at all now. did you saw that??? what have you done?

I just updated Vertex that is all. Does your site have some sort of server cache enabled? Perhaps this is why the front end loaded fine for me after the update.

Right now I swapped to the Beez3 template in the admin and still the front end doesn't show. So either its not template related or you have cache enabled. If you do have server cache enabled, please disable it so I can debug the issue.

i had to upload old files in order the site to be back online - this why i told you i cant update my site vertax version and joomla as well without damge the site - what can be done? its a real problem this vertax

I have to dig into the issue to see what is going on. I needed to know if there was any cache enabled as switching to a default template still didn't work. A vertex update only affects the Vertex template so updating it would not affect another template. Thus switching to it, the site should load fine but it didn't for me. We are on the road to debugging the issue and this is the first step I needed to take.
