: Excerpt or Intro Truncate words in Masonry
: cfcqatar January 16, 2018, 01:09:04 PM
how can i control the number of words being displayed in  masonry widget from its excerpt text?
I was hoping that the read more tag with in the post will do the trick so that I can truncate or somehow control on how many words I wanted to show per post in Masonry.

Masonry will use the "Excerpt" text that can be defined in the post editor; if you're not seeing the editor box for excerpt, you may need to enable it in the "Screen Options" dropdown (top right corner of the editor screen).

I mean, how can I control how many number of words will be displayed from the excerpt field?
Is there a way?.. or it does not make sense at all?... I would just instruct my editors to limit it...

An excerpt is meant to be short.  There is currently no way to set a specific word limit.
