: theme dosn't support RTL? : bugra47 February 19, 2018, 10:09:10 AM Once i changed the site language, all sidebar and main page area disappeared,
There is a instruction about how to make it to support RTL, i did the same, but it dosn't work. How I can make it to support RTL? anyway to do it? : Re: theme dosn't support RTL? : Tristan Rineer February 19, 2018, 11:39:07 AM What instruction are you referring to? Political was never designed with RTL support, to add it would require a lot of new code, much of which would not be compatible with the existing code in the theme.
Political was released before the Vertex framework was developed; unfortunately, pre-framework releases can no longer be updated due to significant changes in how WordPress works. I would suggest looking at more recent releases to see if there's something newer that you can be happy with. The first Vertex release was Paradigm Shift, and the first responsive release was Business Response. I personally recommend not using anything older than Business Response, but that is mainly because the pre-responsive releases that use Vertex will need to be patched with the Vertex Upgrade Patch (http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,96/task,cat_view/gid,243) before they are fully compatible with the latest version of WordPress, and a couple of them used custom code that doesn't work well on the newer version of the framework. : Re: theme dosn't support RTL? : bugra47 February 19, 2018, 12:04:01 PM hi, thank you very much for your reply.
I refered instruction on https://codex.wordpress.org/Right-to-Left_Language_Support I did as it instructed. Actually, I love this theme (political), it is best design i ever seen. Now, the only problem is , sidebar not showing up. Is it possible to customize it? if not, I will change the theme, but i really line to customize it/ thank you : Re: theme dosn't support RTL? : Tristan Rineer February 19, 2018, 12:15:21 PM The sidebar isn't actually missing, it just didn't get moved when you changed everything else. The following CSS might give you what you need.
: #s5_rightcolumn {float:right !important;} #s5_rightcolumn {margin-right:-1014px !important;} There's a limit to how much support I'll be able to give on a release this old, but hopefully that will at least get you close to what you need. : Re: theme dosn't support RTL? : bugra47 February 19, 2018, 02:12:55 PM thank you so much, it does work.
Let me try this theme as long as it supports, i will upgrade to Vertex if any problem accure. Really appreciate for you help |
