Good day,

First off I am developing my website offline.

I want to add the module :S5 Image and Content Fader v4 to different articles and the module should display different images within each article.

In my editor TinyMCE i have the option to insert a module, then when i scroll down to the S5 image and content fader it adds the following code:

{loadmodule mod_s5_image_and_content_fader,S5 Image and Content Fader v4 }

When i load the article in the front end the article looks the same and there is no reference of the code added "{loadmodule mod_s5_image_and_content_fader,S5 Image and Content Fader v4 }" nor is there any image fader and or slider with blank images.

How do i add the images to be shown? If there is a video i would greatly appreciate it otherwise a good tutorial will do.

Hello,

You should be publishing the image and content fader module to an actual position. The "loadmodule" feature of Joomla has had many problems and often prohibits javascript from calling correctly and should never be used on complex modules. You'll need to publish the module to one of the available template positions:

Once you do that you can assign the module to any page you want, including an individual article page.

Thanks for the information it clears some information up.

Maybe i should have been more specific about my requirements.

Lets say for example i have 10 pages (each page is a different service we offer)

And i want to "post" add the image fader at the top of each page (eg. Top_Row_1) and load images to display in the image fader.

But, on each page the pictures on the image fader must be different from the other. So i am guessing i will have to duplicate the image fader module as many times as required (depending on how many articles it must be displayed and differ from the other).

But even though that might or might not be the right approach. I cant get the image fader to display on even one of the pages. It seems as if i can add the module to an menu item and i havent tested yet but that might work then. But how can i add this to an article?

Is there a way?

Hello,

Your article would need to be pointed to a menu item so that Joomla can identify it as a page. Then in the module manager you would create multiple copies of the module and publish each one to each individual page you've created as a menu item. That is the default way Joomla modules work.

Is there a way i can assign it to a menu item but that does not show up when you hover over the menu Item? So technically its there but visitors wont see it?

I did assign the article to a menu item that does not show when the mouse hover over it. In the module i can see the page and assign it to the page. However, when i load the page it does not appear.

Any idea what i might be doing wrong?

Hello,

I don't know what you have to have a menu item for the article, you can try publishing it to a different menu that's not shown on the site, ie: a hidden menu. But if you unpublish the actual menu item then the page won't load. As long as the menu item is published and you have assigned the module to that page it will show.

I dont know i have tried everything you mentioned still it doesnt display. Is there a video tutorial somewhere?
