: Module doesn't observe article order when Order Results is set to "Ordering"
: flaxton June 06, 2018, 07:14:08 AM
OK, I've noticed this before, but this time I have a client that wants fine-toothed control of the module display.

I need to set the order of the articles in Masonry, but it doesn't follow them exactly.

I set the Order Results in the module to Ordering, and then went to the articles, clicked on the Ordering (up/down arrow) column header, and then dragged and dropped articles to put them in the order I want.

But the module doesn't respect this, it has some out of order.

This is on this page: https://genesislink.com/carson (https://genesislink.com/carson)

Can this be fixed, or am I doing something wrong or missing something?

Attached are screenshots of the module config and articles. I can live with the Ordering showing them in reverse order, I understand that (or I could click the single arrow to re-arrange), that is not the problem.

For example, on this one, "Margin Enhancers" is out-of-order.

Thanks!

Fred

Hello Fred,

The ordering is firstly set in the Masonry module admin. You can select from there published date, ordering, etc. Be sure to check what the ordering is set to in there.

I'm not sure what you mean. I went into the module and set Ordering Results = Ordering

That was one of the screenshots I attached.

But the articles are not in the order they appear in Article Manager?

Oh of the 2 screenshots I don't see any showing the module admin area.

You can PM me FTP and Joomla login details and I can dig into this for you.
