: ie6 login issue
: aliciab June 22, 2009, 12:23:22 PM
when I log in my sitewww.lsanashville.com/shapes (http://www.lsanashville.com/shapes)  in IE 7, and mozilla, using the log in that came with the site.. it works perfectly.  When I try to do the same in IE 6, I am not allowed to view any pages, and get aborted pages, and then the IE error screens.....

thanks,
alicia

operation aborted errors are usually caused by modules. Try unpublishing any modules and see if the errors goes away.

I checked through all published modules, and no change...
Seems reading the joomla boards others are having the issues with various sites..

So could be a joomla issue-- maybe with the new 1.511?

Is anyone using this template under 1.511, and not having this problem..??
That would be a good place to start..so I can try to figure something out...

Site is fine until you log in....in IE 6 and 7....  then it will not display pages....
Mozilla is fine.....

We need a IE Patch. My site run under IE only with IE 8. IE 6 and IE 7 comes Error: Diese Seite kann nicht ge?ffnet werden.
Google Chrome OK.
Opera Ok.
Safari OK
When i change the Template - run the Site.

thanks so much Mike..
I think I have it solved...
Last nite.. I googled..and went down the list of what people tried.....
I apparently fixed a bug in the joomla code regarding tool tips, and that made the issue go away for now...

I can't say I understand the what whys and hows...but am on to the next issue......
