: Live Search Installation Tips : mikek June 24, 2009, 09:04:23 AM This module requires you to manually upload the "s5_live_search.php" file to your active template's html folder:
1. First install this module as you would normally through the Joomla administration area. 2. Then take "s5_live_search.php" and upload it to the following directory: /templates/{your active template}/html/com_search/search/ If this directory does not exist simply create the folders and make sure they are named exactly as shown above. 3. Adjust any settings you wish in the module's backend. Aligning The Ajax Search Icon: The ajax search icon aligns to the right of the inputbox like shown here: (http://www.shape5.com/images/live_search_tutorial/inputbox_layout.jpg) In order to get the icon to show over the inputbox you must adjust the icon margins in the backend of the module. Look for the Ajax Loader Icon Settings area: (http://www.shape5.com/images/live_search_tutorial/icon_settings.jpg) Give the Margin Left a negative margin to the move the icon to the left. ex: -20 Give the Margin Top a positive margin to push the icon downward. ex: 10 If you are using your own loader icon or need to adjust the size use the Height parameter below the margin settings. Popup Result Window Positioning: Because every site is different you will need to adjust the positioning of your popup window by adjusting it's margins.
