I'm a new Joomla! user and I just downloaded the sportopolis theme. When I try to install it, the following message appears: * JFolder::files: Path does not point to a valid folder or the folder has been deleted. * JFolder::folder: Path does not point to a valid folder or the folder has been deleted. * JFolder::files: Path does not point to a valid folder or the folder has been deleted. * Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package. I'm getting the same error messages....different paths (of course), but the same lines (142 and 187). I've installed several templates in the past and have never seen this. Thanks! : Re: Problems with installing theme : rideordie July 02, 2009, 05:50:30 PM Nevermind....problem resolved.
Here's what worked for me. I initially downloaded the template (twice) using Mozilla Firefox and I got the errors above. However, when I went back and downloaded the file using IE, it installed just fine. Firefox seems to be the culprit. Hope this helps someone! Good Luck All! Great Template too! |
