For example, I want the main menu to be hidden and I would like to put the extension Front page display ver.2 in one of the module position. That's all I want to be displayed on the front page. Yes you can do this with Joomla. The best way is to just copy the template and rename it. You'll have to do so in the XML file, throughout the index.php file and also then create a new folder that is labeled with your new name under the templates folder. You then can delete the main body output area in this copy and just assign it to the homepage. 2. the templateDetails.xml file and the index.php file all of "seaofglass" text in them. So what you'll need to do is a find and replace for this and change it to "seaofglass2" or something. 3. Correct, for the above example in step 2 you would need to name the folder "seaofglass2" 4.
