Hello there,

I'm trying to set up the template manually like in the demo (it looks like theresn't  a site shaper available).
I have 2 problems: I can't see the logo and the tabshow. For the logo I guess that I have to place the 2 psd.files (should I change them in PNGs and maybe rename them?)  in some folder . For the tabshow, there is no module to be downloaded (should I use the Club extension?). Well, I tried but ,whenever I publish it (in the s5_tab1 position), the screen goes blank. Please help

Hello,

As for the logo this should show automatically, can you post a URL?

The s5 tab show back when this template was released was built into the template, its now a separate module.
You can view the tutorial here:

Hello Jonahh,

I solved the problem with the tab show by installing and not publishing it (but publishing instead the modules in position s5_1, s5_2 and so on).

For the logo no joy yet. What is supposed to be the name of the logo and where does it go? Anyway the URL is www.soluzionioffshore.info . When you visit it you'll notice that :

1) the pics on the left menu are not on the same line of the correspondent menu item.
2) immediately below the tabshow appears an empty, very thin, borderer box.

Any suggstions? Thank you in advance

Make sure your module suffix is set to "-style1_home" and your menu suffix is set to "-image" this should fix the menu problems

As for the small border that appears make sure you have nothing published to the user3 position.

Hi Jonahh,

1) Now items and pictures on the Main Menu are on the same line but seem having lost any form of styling. Can this be fixed?

2) In your previous reply the logo issue was not addressed. Could you please help me with that?

3) And finally it would appear that there are some xtml validation problems (2 are the same present in the demo as well). I paste below the output of the xtml validator. Could this be rectified as well?

Many thanks in advance!

Validation Output:  9 Errors

   1. Error Line 302, Column 16: Attribute "onresize" is not a valid attribute. Did you mean "noresize" or "onreset"?

      <body onresize="s5_width_fix()"><div id="s5_bg1"></div>

      ✉

      You have used the attribute named above in your document, but the document type you are using does not support that attribute for this element. This error is often caused by incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Transitional" document type to get the "target" attribute), or by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "marginheight" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).

      This error may also result if the element itself is not supported in the document type you are using, as an undefined element will have no supported attributes; in this case, see the element-undefined error message for further information.

      How to fix: check the spelling and case of the element and attribute, (Remember XHTML is all lower-case) and/or check that they are both allowed in the chosen document type, and/or use CSS instead of this attribute. If you received this error when using the <embed> element to incorporate flash media in a Web page, see the FAQ item on valid flash.
   2. Error Line 389, Column 5: end tag for "br" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified

<a href="/component/user/reset.html">

      ✉

      You may have neglected to close an element, or perhaps you meant to "self-close" an element, that is, ending it with "/>" instead of ">".
   3. Info Line 389: start tag was here

      >
<a href="/component/user/reset.html">

   4. Warning Line 917, Column 58: character "<" is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data

      if (document.getElementById("s5_body_layer").offsetWidth < document.body.scrollWidth) {

      ✉

      This message may appear in several cases:
          * You tried to include the "<" character in your page: you should escape it as "&lt;"
          * You used an unescaped ampersand "&": this may be valid in some contexts, but it is recommended to use "&amp;", which is always safe.
          * Another possibility is that you forgot to close quotes in a previous tag.
   5. Error Line 405, Column 6: XML Parsing Error: Opening and ending tag mismatch: br line 389 and div

      </div>

      ✉
   6. Error Line 406, Column 7: XML Parsing Error: Opening and ending tag mismatch: div line 381 and form

      </form>

      ✉
   7. Error Line 408, Column 8: XML Parsing Error: Opening and ending tag mismatch: form line 354 and div

            </div>

      ✉
   8. Error Line 917, Column 58: XML Parsing Error: StartTag: invalid element name

      if (document.getElementById("s5_body_layer").offsetWidth < document.body.scrollWidth) {

      ✉
   9. Error Line 936, Column 7: XML Parsing Error: Opening and ending tag mismatch: div line 305 and body

      </body>

      ✉
  10. Error Line 938, Column 7: XML Parsing Error: Opening and ending tag mismatch: body line 302 and html

      </html>

      ✉
  11. Error Line 938, Column 7: XML Parsing Error: Premature end of data in tag html line 2

      </html>

Hello,

Your menu and module class suffixes must be setup as shown in the tutorial:

http://www.shape5.com/demo/magnumopus/content/view/21/58/

That is why the styling is not showing on the menu.

Your logo must be in the following location spelled exactly as shown:

/templates/magnumopus/images/s5_header_style30.png

If you can private message me super admin access I can look into the xhtml errors.
