: Problem with accordion menu
: digivate November 10, 2009, 12:14:58 PM
Evening

We've just installed the accordion menu in a site we are developing and on the homepage we get a javascript error

window.addEvent is not a function
s5_accordion_menu.js()s5_accor...n_menu.js (line 16)
[Break on this error] window.addEvent('domready', function(){\r\n

Any ideas - it's driving me round the bend as it doesn't appear on an article page.

In addition, should I be able to add a parent menu item with no link and let users expand the sub items without leaving the page ?? If so, which type do I choose in the menu manager setup ??

Thanks

John

Hello,

Can you post a URL?

Sorry but the site is on an internal dev box. Anything else I can send you to help?

Do you have any other modules or plugins on the site that are using mootools or jquery?  If so try disabling these to see if it solves the problem.

We do, it's the S5 Tab Show module - refer to my post in the Tab Show forum as that doesn't work either.

If you unpublish the tab show does it work then?

Unfortunately not.

I still get the same issue in firebug.

With the modules we have downloaded, it fails whenever I use the S5 javascript components and not mootools

I'm not sure really what to suggest without seeing it first hand.  If you can put it up on a URL where I can view I'd be able to help you out.
