: Template Installation : asha November 12, 2009, 01:30:19 PM I am getting an error message ? the XML not find..? when I try to use the install/uninstall template in Joomla. For the way around I am able to successfully extract the zip files onto the provider's server but I am not getting the whole template showing up. Any advise! Thanks.

In the backend of Joomla go to help/system info and then the directory permissions tabs. If any of those folders are unwritable you must contact your host to have this resolved.

: Re: Template Installation : mikek November 13, 2009, 02:04:50 PM Hello, I just checked a fresh download and it installed with no problems, so there is a permissions or ownership problem on your server. The other thing you can do is create a new folder in your templates folder called touch_of_soul and then through ftp upload all the contents of the zip file into that folder, this is all the Joomla installation features does anyway.
