I'd need to see first hand whats going on. It most likely is another module or plugin conflicting with it.

As soon as you navigate from the home page to the page where this accordion menu resides on Venetian Plaster Portfolio Page - http://www.artofric.com/venetian-plaster-portfolio-feature-1 you will see that the menu stays open. As soon as you click on the top level of the menu the sub menu's disappear.

Perhaps your seo links are causing this issue, when you disable them does the menu then open correctly according to what page you are on?

script type="text/javascript" src="/media/system/js/mootools.js"></script but there are no modules using it, I love Shape5's no moo modules, so I avoid mixing others in. I have the same problem originally explained about the first menu item always being opened.
