: Image Rotator Issues
: veneshe January 18, 2010, 11:44:22 AM
We have loaded 2 sets of slides one with 6 images and one with three images.  The images for one set of slides are approximately, 125x165.  The other set of slides takes advantage of the full width of the page, 800x165.  The issue we are having is when we use the 800x165 slide, the first slide shows up but you can't get to the second slide.  When you click the arrow to move forward, it takes you to the next set of slides.  What my client wants is to be able to have the slides flow on their own, but if you hit the arrows, then it takes you to the next set of slides.  Is this possible?

Also when using the wider image, it brings in just a slight edge of the next image.  This is probably a size issue of the image but not sure.

www.artofric.com is the production site.

Hello, if you are publishing both instances on the same page, you cannot do this. The module can only appear once on a page or it will cause javascript issues.

Thanks for the reply Mikek, but that is not the issue.

We are using the slide rotater exactly as it came out of the box.  All we are doing is adding different images in different sites to the different image sets.  Our site home page has the exact same set-up as your demo.  The S5 Image slide in the top left module, and the S5 "Advert 4" position.  So something is not working right that the images do not show up if you put more than one image in a set.  I even downloaded the Image Rotator from the downloads, separately from the template and fixed the .php file as recommended on another post and that did not fix it.

The only way I can make this thing work is to place one photo in "URL of Image 1" for set 1, then one photo in "URL of Image 8" for set 2, then on to set three and so on and so forth.  And even then, a user would have to use the navigation arrows to move the show.  If I place 7 images only in Set 1 and wipe out everything else in the other sets, it doesn't work either.  It just sits there and shows the first image.  Which appears to be alot of the issues that other people are having.

So, do you have any other ideas?  ANy help would be greatly appreciated.  I would be glad to provide you or Jonah with administrator rights to see what is wrong.  Our url is www.artofric.com

Thanks

Hello, I am sorry but I still understanding exactly what the issue is. When I look at your site I am not seeing any issues with the modules. Would you be able to private message me super admin access along with a step by step process of how I can reproduce the problem in the backend so I more clearly understand the issue?
