How do I show only levels 1 & 2 of the main menu? I would like to show the other levels on the side menus.

Hey Lisa,
In order to achieve this you would have to just unpublish them and create them in another separate menu that you assign to the side menus.

Hey Johah,
So will I be able to show only the menu items that pertain to that section or would I have to create multiple side menus? For instance, I have a police department 2nd level menu item but I only want the 3rd & 4th level menu items that pertain to the police department to show on those pages. When I go to the Senior Citizen pages I want to see those menu items pertaining to them only.
Thanks
Lisa

Yeah you would have to create separate menus for each page then.

Well that sucks. It takes the flexibility of a menu module away.

Unfortunately thats how Joomla is designed you can only assign modules to menu items not the other way around

We are planning to convert the main horizontal menu into a module in the future and add more features. Just to clarify you can usually change what levels show per page throughout the site or just change how many sub levels to show site wide?

Thank you. I appreciate that.
You can change how many sub levels to show site wide.
