Hello Mike,

I'm having trouble with the spotlight news section on the frontpage of our site. It just won't line up properly when I try to have 3 copies of the module there. I have deleted and replaced it and it worked for a short while. Now it's out of whack again. Tried resizing images also and that did not work. Can you have a look? http://www.lccbahamas.com/joomla2. I can provide admin access if you need it.

Perhaps we're trying to put too much info in the spotlight section. Should it just be links posted there?

Hello, have you modified the template's index.php file? The above_body5 position is getting called inside of the above_body4 position. It is not setup like this on the original template files. I would first recommend making a backup of the template's index.php file and then import the original index.php file from the downloads section to see if the problem is corrected.

Nope, no changes to the template index.php file. I gave that a try with no luck. I even disabled and re-enabled the template afterwards and still no change. Any other suggestions? I thought the problem was module related.

I am having the same/similar problem. I changed the amount of text displayed in spotlight news 1 to display the entire VBS article. Now it extends beyond the white background and spotlight 3 is displaying beneath spotlight 2. I tried returning to the original sizes but no joy. I read and tried removing a line at the bottom of the index.php file - no joy so I put it back. As suggested in this post, I backed-up and then replaced the touch-of-soul index.php file with a fresh copy - no joy. I have disabled/reenabled each spotlight news individually without correcting the problem. I have turned spotlight 3 off for the time being to keep an acceptable appearance to the site since VBS registration is going on and want to provide a favorable impression. The site is www.sheltonbeach.org.
I guess I'll need to turn spotlight 3 back on Monday morning so you can see the problem. Just will not be able to respond prior to Monday evening due to work. Hmmmmmm.

Thanks for the help.

Hello, I do not see any issues with the modules on your site, they are all showing in 3 columns. Can you please be more specific to the exact issue you are seeing?

Thought it might be this computer so checked on another one and the same issue is happening.
Spotlight news 1,2,3 is supposed to display in above body 3,4,5. However, Spotlight news 1 is correct, Spotlight news 2 is in above body 3 and Spotlight news 3 is displaying below both centered. Also, the white background is not resizing properly. Thanks.

Hey Mikek,

I'm having a similar problem. I changed the text of the "spotlight news" and lost the alignment of the box "Read More" as eou can see on the pic below.

Hello, that is because your texts are different lengths, the one on the right has 1 less line. You need to adjust the amount of text.
