Hi

This is the first time I have installed a template from S5 and have run straight into problems! I am a bit too used to working with RocketTheme templates that install everything you see in the demo so it's all a bit daunting having to install Joomla 1.5 and then manually installing the eTensity Template and then the Virtuemart part!

I have installed the template OK-ish! although it looks nothing like the demo! but now when I try to install the eTensity_VirtueMart_Style_Files_11 all I get is the following error Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package. (I have tried both versions of this by the way)

What am I doing wrong? Also when I upload the Homepage template I can set that as default - but what about the inner pages - I have uploaded them but how do i get to them?

All a bit confusing really - are there any tutorials to go with S5 templates?

Many thanks in advance

The reason we don't have quick install packages for the SQL, template and Joomla/VM is because of updates to the CMS's used.  So what we did was zip up all the files you need for the VirtueMart styles and mods and all you do is simply extract to the root of your Joomla install and overwrite when prompted.  Make sure to back up your files first.

All our tutorials are located under tutorials on our demo site:

Right so I extract the files locally and then upload the Components folder to the Components folder on my ftp and overwrite and then the same with the Modules if I read what your saying to be correct?

Ok I have uploaded the above folders via my ftp client into my joomla root as you have said but i still have nothing? Im guessing that I now have to install the components and modules? because there is nothing inside by backend showing either of the two? But how the hell do I do that please?

All very confused and frustrated now! Can anyone help please?

This is painful now! Where is there just some plain documentation on how to install this damn template and the VirtueMart files for idiots like me? I have landed up with a template that has nothing on the front page like in the demo? and no Ecommerce functionality? What's going on here?

Frustrating or What? Someone please help!

I'm sorry you are having such trouble.

After making the folders you will have to assign the templates as described here:

http://www.shape5.com/demo/etensity/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=36&Itemid=100

Regarding the VM files you extract them to the root of your Joomla install as described here:

http://www.shape5.com/demo/etensity/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=82

Your ecommerce functionality comes from the component called VirtueMart.  This component called be downloaded from http://www.virtuemart.net/

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
