Please see this link and scroll down to the bottom of the page.  You will see that the white background does not extend behind all of the content.

I deleted the picture in the list of sermons in the second sermon (which is your news list component).

This fixed the problem but it seems as if I can't put images into the second article without this background problem.

Please advise - thanks!

I have gone on to place pictures in all of the sermons in the news article list.  Placing pictures in any but the first article totally screws up the layout of the first page.

I'm not sure what to do. I hope I can put pictures in the articles without the problems.

Hello,

You are using the spotlight news module for the sermons module. Only the first article supports images. The rest of the articles are shown as links only.

You could use something like the latest news or news flash module there instead for multiple pictures.
