i have not been able to find where the links for the middle menu can be modified or how.  I used the site shaper, and there are links which appear on the front end ( FAQ, contact us,community, etc) but under the menu manager there is nothing listed for the middle menu.  Where are the links coming from - which link to nothing currently?

Hello,

The links would appear in the backend of Joomla under the menu manager and then Middle Menu. If there is nothing listed in the menu you can simply create a new menu and publish it's module to the middle_menu position.

As previously stated, under menu manager>>middle menu, there are NO items, yet on the front end there are the links for community, news, faq, about us, and contact us.  those links are visible, yet they also don't link anywhere (2nd oddity)

I created a contact us page link on the middle menu manager, such that  it was the ONLY item visible from the manager, yet on the front end are the aforementioned  links, plus the new contact us I added even though the one i added is again the ONLY item visible within the middle menu manager.

Forgive me if this is not clear, don't know how much clearer i can make it.

any resolution on this?

Within Middle Menu (menu manager), I have Home FAQs  (Added Contact link) and News.
I added Contact but its link is display white or hidden. If I left select and highlight all Middle Menu links, I can see the Contact link.

Is there some sort of CSS controlling the color of the links for the middle menu links?

Hello Mikek,

Here is the URL where you can see that the Contact link within the middle menu is white(invisible)

That's strange,
 I just now right clicked and opened in a new tab, and our site came up ok.

Here is a link to our store, instead of the home page:

Hello,

At line 677 of template.css you will find:

#s5_middle_menu ul.menu a:visited {
color:#FFFFFF;
}

Just remove that whole section.
