Do you have the drop down on the top right set to show published menu items?

yes, In the Menu Item Manager it shows a few menu's and they all have items, but when I click them they are all not showing items, not by published, unpublished. I can Add an item and it will show up in my menu, but I cant see it back in the Menu Item Manager

Hello jonahh,

Unfortunately it's not as simple as it seems and your suggestions so far aren't helping me get closer to a solution...

This problem of not showing menu ITEMS exists in every menu, I can create a new menu and add items to any menu I want but I can still not see the ITEMS in any menu.

I also noticed that there are no check boxes in front of the article titles in the Article Manager... and last but not least the javascript links on top of the template don't work either...

Again I would like to offer you a log in to my back end maybe you can figure out what's wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Raymon

Hello,

Can you try upgrading to the latest version of Joomla?  This could very well fix the issue.  If it doesn't try renaming the menu alias

Hello, I have installed Hosticity joomla club template and in the back end, when I click on Menus/Menu manager, I can see the 5 menus of the example data set. When I click to "Edit menu items" of one of them (mainmenu for instance), i get no results, but inside there are items.

I just want it to work. Your last answer was "upgrade" but i will not upgrade any version. I have payed and I want it working from the downloaded joomla club template.

Waiting your urgent comments. Time is money.

Hello,

The menu manager is not controlled by the Template but Joomla itself. Jonahh suggested upgrading to the latest version to avoid any existing bugs in that version of Joomla. Not sure if you tried renaming the menu alias and saving it yet but give that a shot. Also try and clear the site cache.

If you could post a new thread in the Hosticity forum instead of bumping a thread from 2010 that would be appreciated.

Your solutions are not working. Sql gives results but no drawing them in back end.

SELECT m.*, u.name AS editor, g.name AS groupname, c.publish_up, c.publish_down, com.name AS com_name
  FROM jos_menu AS m
  LEFT JOIN jos_users AS u
  ON u.id = m.checked_out
  LEFT JOIN jos_groups AS g
  ON g.id = m.access
  LEFT JOIN jos_content AS c
  ON c.id = m.componentid
  AND m.type = "content_typed"
  LEFT JOIN jos_components AS com
  ON com.id = m.componentid
  AND m.type = "component"
  WHERE m.menutype = 'mainmenu'
  AND m.published != -2
  ORDER BY m.ordering ASC, m.parent, m.ordering

Hello,

I just tested a fresh installation of Hosticity on my server from our website and everything was fully functional. You either didn't install the template correctly or your download was corrupted in some way. I would suggest starting over with fresh links and databases using our tutorials.
