Help!

I am having some issues with how New Architect displays on the iPad -- specifically around the Inset for the Image Fader.

It has become mission critical, as the site is supposed to go live tomorrow. I'm hoping it's an easy fix, but if I need to pay for some custom help, I'm willing.

If the horizontal alignment percentage is set to be perfect for normal browsers, then the slideshow extends off the right edge of the page on the ipad about a half-inch.

Only the slideshow extends to the right, not the top menu or background. As a result, the iPad shows a half-inch of blank space on the right of the screen. I can set the percentage of the inset position a bit further to the left to correct this, but then it is too far to the left on normal browsers. BTW, this does not seem to happen on Safari on my iPhone, just the iPad.

Also, (and not iPad-related), I would like to be able to increase the size of the logo, without it getting cut off. Currently if I make it any bigger, the bottom is cut off. I'd like this enlarged logo to also show up on the other pages too, and it's fine if the height of the top background of the other pages needs to increase.

Update: I have been able to get rid of the blank space on the iPad by repositioning the slideshow and decreasing its horizontal size, though the spacing of both logo and slideshow looks quite different on the iPad.

I am still interested in getting a more consistent look across devices. But the site is going live tomorrow, so I am changing the access password for now for security reasons. But I would still be interested in your reccomendations.

Thanks,

Hi,

Well done for getting the problem sorted. For future reference, it's probably not best posting access details, but instead PMing a moderator such as myself with the username and password.

As for the consistant look, later templates are tested across such devices, while templates such as this one were released before the iPad! To address your question, it's very hard to get complex designs to behave indentically on all browsers across the board due to the different rendering engines, but we strive to get as close to this as possible.

Thanks,

I will be changing the password to the site, but is it possible for you to delete those details from my post, or just delete the post if that's the only way?

Thanks,
Jeffrey

Hi,

There will be a modify button for you on that post, if you click that and remove the details Smiley
