Me again.. I am having a hell of a time with the bottom menu. I used the site shaper so it is already in the admin but the problem is, it shows # Published as 7, however.. I don't see anything in the bottom menu items to edit. I have added a new one which works but now I can not see that link or any of the dummy ones either for that matter to edit in the admin! Thanks for any assistance... Huh

Hello,

If the links aren't showing in the backend try renaming the menu and it's alias under the menu manager. Joomla has a bug where renaming it sometimes will fix this.

Presto... many thanks, now I can edit the links... one problem though... if I want to make the home page link to obviously the home page.. how is that done in the menu type? I would assume it is under the internal link settings which I can set to a Front Page Blog Layout... but I don't want to make a new one.. I want to use the default home page... thanks again...

Hello,

The easiest way is to create an 'alias' link and then point it to the home link on your main menu. An 'alias' link is a way to link to another menu's link, and since you already have a home link setup on your main menu just link there, it's much easier for setting up modules so you don't have to publish them to both links.
