Hi,

I'm trying to understand the membership requirements, so that I don't  inadvertently mis-use the service. I have to say the sites that i've set up have been so easy to do, and the support is stellar, so wouldn't want to take advantage!

I set up a site for a client using a template. I purchased a membership in her name, and have used one template. She owns the domain name this site's located on. She's so happy with her site, she got me to set up up another site for a client of hers and is going to maintain this site for him. She doesn't own the domain name, he does. Is she allowed this second site set up as part of her 3?

I' have the same question for myself. I've set up two sites with my membership, and i own both domain names. Am i allowed to set up the third under a domain name i don't actually own?

thanks!

Hello,

This would require either three different standard memberships or a single developer membership. A standard membership may only be used on domains the client personally owns. In your case since your client owns the membership and the domain that is fine, but she may only use templates on other sites that she owns not on clients. So there's two possible options:

1. Purchase a membership for your client (which you have already done), purchase one for your client's client, and purchase one for yourself.

2. Or purchase a developer membership which will allow you to use templates on as many client sites as you wish.

Thanks, that makes it clearer.

I've already purchased two standard memberships, one in my name, one in my client's name (with my credit card)... is there a way to incorporate those two purchases + the balance into a developer's membership at this point?

Hello,

It would depend on how much is left on your client's membership. Can you please provide me with the username of that user so I can review the purchase history?

I sent you a PM with the two account information. I think the bottom line is it makes sense for me to get the developer's membership, so just wondering if i can roll what i've already spent into that and get some kind of reduction on buying a membership outright?
