I'm having a queer issue that I hope someone can help with...  my regular article titles are showing fine where I want them to, but randomly I'm seeing the word "Articles" above the title.  It's not consistent, it's not dependent on browser (both IE and Chrome do it)... one minute it's there, the next it's not.  I'm seeing it when I'm logged in, but it's also there when someone is just visiting the site.  And then five minutes later it's not there.

Any thoughts on this?

The site is here:   http://www.grandpapike.com/

Hello,

I checked a couple pages on your site but didn't see this appear. Is there a particular page it always shows on?

The site looks AWESOME by the way!

Thank you   Grin   There is more to come yet as I have still to add some audio clips, online ordering etc... but it's getting there!  I hope you don't mind the serious liberties I've taken with your original color scheme.  LOL

There's no page in particular that it shows up on regularly - it really is quite random.  But it seems to be limited to the articles themselves, ie stories, news - it's almost like it's trying to add the parent label, then remembering it shouldn't?

I still haven't figured out what to do about this, but I did manage to get a screen shot.

Okay........ I'm getting closer to figuring it out.  Maybe you'll get something from this.

When I'm on the "home" page, the link to the "stories" page is this:
http://www.grandpapike.com/component/content/article/7-stories/14

And the "articles" title shows up in the <h1> tag.

BUT!!!  If I go to one of the News articles, or the Order pages, then the link to that same page is this:
http://www.grandpapike.com/7-stories/14

And the title is not there.

Notice that the link address is completely different!  And if from there I continue and click to the various stories, the title does not appear.

But if I go back to "Home", then click on "Stories", the title is there, and it stays there on all the stories I click on.

So somehow the <h1> tag of "Articles" is connected to the way the article is linked to.  Now if I could only figure out how to resolve it...  obviously this isn't actually something in the template itself after all, but if you know anything about how to fix it, I'd appreciate your help!!

Hello,

I'm sorry I am really not sure what would cause that. I would suggest posting on joomla.org's forum board as it seems to directly relate to Joomla itself. Perhaps it's an unknown bug in 1.6.

Ok so is your category called "articles"??  If so then you should turn the setting off to show "categories".

A stab in the dark... hope it helps
