Greetings

I'm converting an older Twiki hobby site over to Joomla and love the Intrigue template for my layout.  I would like to have an image as the background for the header, under my logo, suckerfish menu, etc.  I am using the fixed width and have an image at 960px. that I replaced the s5_logo with but it's being cropped by the logo module size (so much for hoping it would expand over).

I am thinking I need to add the reference to the image directly to the css as a background element but I'm not sure how to do that.  I'm a long time WebSphere / Apache / Linux admin and can code happily in python but I just don't know css very well myself yet.    Once I get the image across the header as expected I'll tweak the logo to be sure it overlaps cleanly and may need to play with the suckerfish settings to be sure the menu is still easily visible.

Also, I'm extending the basic color of the logo image down as the highlight colors (currently I made these gray just to not see the orange any more) and will need to work on the font colors so this should look less conflicting and easier to read than it does now.

Any advise on getting a full length image into that header space is greatly appreciated.

advTHANKSance!

Hello,

Adding any kind of custom module area to the header would require custom programming. You would have to publish a module to one of the existing module positions such as the position "top". A layout of the available positions can be found here:

Sorry...I probably wasn't very clear.  I'm trying to see if there's a way to have a background image in the whitespace normally found "behind" the logo, search and suckerfish module positions.

My early work is here:

I have some of the backgound image incoproated in my logo.  I want the full image filling the area 'above' the top modules.  I see that the suckerfish menu will already extend over the graphic of the logo without issue and functions fine (I'll tweak the colors and fonts for it later).  So instead of just white screen there I wanted my background image to appear.

Hope this helps!  Otherwise loving the template so far.
