Hello,
I've got a website I'm building based off the Life Journey Theme on Joomla 1.6, and since there isn't a Site Shaper package for it yet, I've been recreating it by comparing a J1.5 site shaper install of the defaults... (this leaves things open to me missing a parameter).
My process was this:
1)install Joomla 1.6
2)install Life Journey
3)install UNZIP_FIRST_mod_s5_live_search_16.zip, mod_s5_tabshow_16.zip, mod_s5_register_16.zip, mod_s5_imageslide_16.zip, mod_s5_box_16.zip,mod_s5_accordion_menu_16.zip (which I believe to be all the extensions that the demo is using...
4)go module by module copying basic/advanced parameters for above modules/theme from site shaper/J1.5 to my J1.6 environment.

Now after all that was done, I have 2 strange quirks...
1)my accordian Menu, placed in the "right" position doesn't have room to show the drop down arrows for submenus on the home pages, all other pages created so far have it fine.

2)bottom footer expands across entire browser window. not just standard width of theme..

This joomla powered site is on a dev box and has no active DNS entries to get to it, but I can provide host file line if helpful.

Pictures

Thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I have sent you several private messages regarding this. I still have not be able to replicate the issue and it appears you've modified the look of your accordion menu. I need to know the exact browser, version and operating system that you are using to try and replicate the issue.

Hi Mikek,
I know, I replied to all of your pm's about this. Although we've mostly only talked about how to configure a host file...

However, as per the original screenshot, the accordion menu wasn't modified at the time, but instead right out-of-the-box functionality.
Now, (as of 3 days ago) we've modified the pictures only to reflect our site's color scheme as we couldn't leave the box white for >30 days waiting for a "fix". (the boss got grumpy)

I see this across multiple machines with little problem replicating...
Personal machine specs are as follows, but can also view on random client machine's more/less at will...

Dell optiplex 980+Win7sp1+FF 3.6.18+1080p
Acer Ferrari 4005wlmi+winXPsp3+IE6 or FF3.6.17+1680x1050
HP pavilion dv9000+win7+FF3.6.18 or IE8.0.7600.16385+1920x1200

For me, Going to the homepage directly (houstonbash.com), the right arrows do not show (as pictured in OP).
BUT, going to any subpage, accordion menu shows arrows, then subsequently, ANY page will show properly.

So this is entirely on original loading of homepage only. if you go anywhere else in the same session, (even back to the homepage) the accordion menu displays properly...

Firebug reports no errors on any page load at any time, but seems to be a problem grabbing that picture initially...

i'd be curious to have chuckmiest weigh in with his experience as well, but saw similar behavior on his site...

Hello,

I am sorry but I am not able to replicate this issue at all. I have checked your site on a machine that is using FF 3.6.18 Windows 7 and has never been to your site and it the accordion menu loaded fine with no issues on the first load. You had mentioned that once you go to another page and come back that it then loads correctly; I cannot think of anything that would do this. The same css and layout is loaded each time.

I am sorry but without being to replicate this issue I am not sure what the issue would be or why it's only occurring on your machines. Other than this post we've had no other reports of an issue like this as well.

Well aren't these hard-to-replicate problems just fun....
I'll create a video of it sometime soon to show. I can't think of what would cause it either, but i'll start to lower the priority of this issue.

in the meantime, if I could get your advice on my second question from the OP, My life journey install went with a full-width bottom menu bar (the maroon colored thing at the bottom.)
What do i need to change to make this standard width of the site? Which div should I be looking at? Every time I try to set a width to one of the s5_footer_areaXX, it doesn't go well.

Thanks,

Hello,

Well this gets more fun Smiley the footer is already showing full width for me. Can you please post a full screenshot of the footer area and perhaps a screenshot of what you're trying to change to make sure we're looking at the same thing?
