How do I unlock the slices for the templates in fireworks so that i can import my new colors
I have already redone the photoshop doc

I am going nuts trying to get the slices to match!&!^ newcastle time! 
this would be a really big help,  I have to get the template to match my logo

Willow,

There are no slices on the PSDs.  You will have to select a color theme and then open each image and place your new image on top and resave.

the slices do exist in fireworks it is just locked so that you can't access them

sorry to sound short but I am really frustrated and I do love the templates
how do I get the slices out of photoshop

Slices were not used for this template. Due to the many transparencies and gradients involved it would be nearly impossible to use slices. I am not sure what it looks like in Fireworks but we did not use slices and the psd itself does not contain them. The best way to do this is to open the pictures from another style and copy the new pictures on top as a new layer and align them on top of each other. It takes long but this is how we did it and again because of the layout it's the only way to do it.

I guess what makes me think that is when I  imported the PSD into fireworks it said that there were slices, but they were locked.                                                         

In the future it would make it so much easier to customize the template.
