Hi,
Please let me know how i can remove the top menu and logo on the home page.
I want to use the home page as a splash page and then have a link on it to a "new home page" which will have the menu. All the pages will then have a link back to this "new homepage"
Thanks

Hello,

The best way would be to make a copy of the template and rename the template name inside templatedetails.xml and the actual folder name and then assign the copy to the homepage and remove the  logo and menu for this copied template.

Hi
Thanks for that advice, but before i try it i read somewhere that you can create a simple splash pashe and name it index.html and on that page have a link going to the index.php file. This is because browsers usually go to the index.html file first and so the splash page will always come up on the first visit.

Thereafter once you click on the index.php link then joomla will recognise the index.php file only as the homepage and save you going to the spalsh page every time.

What do you think?

Can you please help me with your method. I have created a copy template and assigned it to the homepage, but need help removing the logo and top menu.  I tried changing the template.css and removed the logo but couldnt remove the top menu.
