Hi

I have just set up a site using you site shaper for photofolio and one of the fist things Im trying to do is set up the image slider on the home page.  I have uploaded images of 900x450 and set the height and width in the module to match.  However, although the height setting does change the actual height of the slider, the width doesnt.  All that this seems to do is change the width of cropping of the image inside the slider.  Even if I try an extreme of setting the width to 400, the width simply doesnt change at all. The slider seems fixed at the default width of 933?  Therefore I am getting dark gaps down one side as my images are 900 wide. I have also tried putting the module in other positions but its always the same.

Is the same in various browsers.

I have read various other posts of people suffering the same thing, but I cant solve this, can anyone help?

Hi

yes I still need help.  Ive left the image on display that show the issue.  I have set the width of the slider to 900 (the same as the images) but it hasnt changed.  If you look at the display you will notice a black band down the right hand side where the images dont fit.  Whatever I change the width to in set up, it doesnt change on the display.

Thanks.

Ah I see this is because the width of your template is 975 pixels.  That white border is not part of the image fader but its a module style so its going to go full width of the template.  You'll have to decrease your overall site width in the template parameters area if you dont want this to happen

Hi

That seems strange! Tongue

So for future reference how do i go about knowing how wide the site should be to accomodate?

By what your saying, you are limited to the size you can have on the silder, purely by the width of the site, is this correct?

Cheers

You are only required to adjust because of the white border and shadows.  If you took these off in the CSS no problem then but since they are on the module style you have to adjust site width to your module width.

For future knowing how wide?  Well you wont have this issue using another template but for photofolio you just have to test and see like for the demo we set images to 933 width and template to 975
