I just uploaded Siena to my host (Blue Host), and I followed instructions to upload SiteShaper to SQL and associated user name... all as instructed.  But now, I cannot log onto my site... front or back.  Get 404 error file not found message.

Hello,

Did you enable SEF at any point?

SEF is enabled on my Joomla! site, but I did not do anything specific to this upload... nothing in the instructions told me to.  How can I fix this?  I contacted my host - Blue Host - and told them of the problem... here is their reply to me:

IHello, thank you for contacting support.  I'm sorry I wasn't able to find the cause of the problem. I was able to get this error when running the index page through the command line but your site might function differently that way.  Fatal error:  Class 'JRequest' not found in /home7/dickins5/public_html/libraries/joomla/session/session.php on line 453
I would suggest contacting the developers of what you installed to see if they might have some solutions for you or you could check on the joomla forums for steps on fixing or a solution.

PLEASE HELP ME... MY SITE HAS BEEN DOWN TWO DAYS... THANKS.

Hello,

Your original error message reported was for a 404 error, which is generally caused when the htaccess.txt file is not renamed to .htaccess

The new error message reported is:

'JRequest' not found in /home7/dickins5/public_html/libraries/joomla/session/session.php

I have replied to your other post regarding this question. This is a core joomla file, not a shape5 file. I would recommend checking on the joomla.org forum boards for a resolution. There may be other posts regarding this.

If you are installing a site shaper please be sure you've uploaded it into a blank database and empty folder. A site shaper is a complete installation of joomla.
