I read a tutorial how to install Siteshaper on Godaddy but I don't understand the 3, 4 and 5 step. Could someone please explain it to me clearer.

1. Upload the siteshaper zip file to your root folder (public_html or www or similar) using FTP or the cPanel File manager (or whatever file manager GoDaddy employs)

2. Unzip the siteshaper archive in cPanel, by selecting it and clicking the "Expand" button

3. Create a database in cPanel, and make a note of the name you choose

4. Create a Database Admin user, assign it to your new database, and assign all privileges to that user. Make a note of the name and password you choose for the user

5. Simply point your browser to your domain (and subfolder, if you used one) to start the installer, and enter the database and user details you made a note of in points 3 and 4, when asked by the installer.

Thanx!

Hello,

Godaddy's cpanel should have an option for creating a database and assigning a user to it.. If you need assistance with doing this on their server you would need to contact their support, as it can vary from host to host. Basically all you're doing is creating a new database, a new user, and then assign full rights to that user to make changes on the database.

Step 5 is simply go to the url that you have the files extracted to in your browser, and the install screen will appear.

Hi,
Now I see the 7 steps to install the siteshaper.  However it stops the installation at step 6 (configuration).  The installation circle in the middle of screen just keep spinning for whole day and wouldn't go to step 7.  Do you know what I did wrong? Because it did not tell me.  Thank you!
