I don't know what happened - I may have accidentally unpublished a bunch of modules, and then immediately re-published them - but now the main content area of my website had 'disappeared' from my site:

www.hendersontrust.org

I have checked that the option 'Would You Like The Component and Article Area Shown On The Frontpage?' is set to yes, but the area is still disabled (I have added a new module to the left module position to simulate what I had in the main content area, but I really need the original back!).

The main area likewise fails to appear in the mobile site, and I have also noticed that I can no longer access most of the articles via on the mobile site and I get the message 'The page contains too many server redirects', with urls featuring an endless line of

index.php/ed/index.php/ed/index.php/ed/index.php/ed/

and so on...

What the heck has happened - and more importantly, what can be done to fix it? Will the problem be fixed if I reinstall the template, or is it something I've done in joomla itself?

Help!!!

Hello,

There is a parameter in the template configuration to hide the main article area, make sure you have it set to show.

Hi Mike,

I did say in my original post that I had already checked this - and it's set to show. I've also double checked in the mySQL database and the the template contains "xml_s5_frontpage":"yes".

Any and all help/suggestions appreciated!

Thanks

Hello,

That is the only thing in the template that could turn it off. Make sure you still have an article published to the frontpage in the article manager as well.

I have a few modules published in on the front page, but I'm not sure how to 'publish' articles to the front page in the article manager other than setting their status to 'published' and 'featured' - which I have tried without success. It's as if something is preventing my featured articles from being shown on the main page, or correctly published to the featured articles section.

Can you please take a look?  www.hendersontrust.org

Thanks

Hello,

All that is needed to have the content area shown is to set the article to featured and then make sure you have article area shown in the template configuration.

If you are positive that you have done this please private message me super admin access and ftp access so that I can look into this.
