Hi. I read in other topics about missing label description in template configuration.
I looked inside the en-GB.tpl_vertex.ini and I found some errors and I corrected them.
The two of them I corrected are:
TPL_FIELD_HIGHLIGHT_LABEL="Highlight Color" TPL_FIELD_HIGHLIGHT_DESC="This color controls most hyperlinks, main menu, borders, and titles displayed on the template."
that I changed in:
TPL_HIGHLIGHT_LABEL="Highlight Color" TPL_HIGHLIGHT_DESC="This color controls most hyperlinks, main menu, borders, and titles displayed on the template."
and it seems ok, but I don't know if it's truly correct.
But I think that some labels are wrong or missing in the file.
In my template configuration the following are missing (and their question marks hovering labels):
TPL HIGHLIGHTMODULES LABEL TPL FONTS HIGHLIGHT LABEL TPL FACEBOOK LABEL TPL TWITTER LABEL TPL GOOGLE LABEL TPL LINKED IN LABEL TPL RSS LABEL TPL SMALL MENU LABEL TPL UPPERCASE LABEL
Can you publish a fixed version of en-GB.tpl_vertex.ini or the corrected missing code lines?
Thanks, Mario

Hello,
Sounds like you are missing a language file. Download the latest template zip file and copy the file en-GB.tpl_cyan.ini to root language folder on your server.

Hi Mike, I just did what you wrote, but is still the same. Now the TPL HIGHLIGHT LABEL is back missing again.
It seems that some lines of code are missing.
Another thing to know is that I'm using Italian language in front-end and in back-end: can this choice be the source of the problem?
Thanks, Mario

Hello,
You can also try uploading the file to:
templates/vertex/xml/language
That is another place it will call the language files from. I have tested locally and the all the files are present with a fresh install.

Hi Mike, I'm sorry but I can't find templates/vertex/ folder.
I installed cyan by the Site Shaper Current and I don't have the vertex folder in templates.
I've just used Sienna template for another domain and I didn't have this issue. I checked and also the Sienna site i made doesn't have the vertex foldert in templates.
Have I need to create that folder?
Thanks, Mario

I'm sorry I gave the wrong folder structure, it's:
templates/cyan/vertex/xml
It's inside the cyan folder.

Hi Mike,
sorry for wasting your time!
I solved with your first reply (copy the file en-GB.tpl_cyan.ini to root language folder)! The file en-GB.tpl_cyan.ini wasn't missing, but had a smaller dimension than "Shape5_Cyan_template_current.zip" one. You can correct this in a new siteshaper version. Now it's all ok!
Sorry, but perhaps I was confused at that moment: when you replied me it was night time in Italy, and I was a little bit tired.
Thank you for your courtesy, Mario

Hi,
I just installed the latest siteshaper of cyan for Joomla 2.5 and got the same problem with the labels. I tried copying the language files over from the template only file download and it had no effect. I copied en-GB.tpl_cyan.ini and en-GB.tpl_vertex.ini to the xml folder and to the language folder under cyan as well. Not working still showing this type of text: TPL_SMALL_MENU_02. What else can I do to correct this?
I cannot find where to change the text under each menu item on the Main Menu for this template. It doesn't show in the Template Manager for cyan.
Thanks

Hello, Please be sure that these files: templates/cyan/vertex/xml/language/en-gb/en-GB.tpl_cyan.ini templates/cyan/vertex/xml/language/en-gb/en-GB.tpl_vertex.ini Are on your server, if they are not please copy them from the site shaper. Please download and follow the tutorial for the flex menu from here: http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,96/task,cat_view/gid,161/

They are on the server just fine. However I noticed that the folder you posted is not the same as what is in the template or siteshaper. The siteshaper I downloaded yesterday has 2 language file areas under template/cyan. One folder is template/cyan/language and the other folder is template/cyan/xml/language. The siteshaper and the template do not have a sub folder in the vertex folder called xml/language. I tried copying the folder from siteshaper and created and placed them in templates/cyan/vertex/xml/language/en-gb/en-GB.tpl_cyan.ini and templates/cyan/vertex/xml/language/en-gb/en-GB.tpl_vertex.ini. It did not make any difference. Still the same. Also you mentioned the folder name to be en-gb, when I installed the siteshaper the language folder is called en-GB (upper case). Which one is correct? Thanks for the help Mike. I will check out the tutorial. Cheers!

Hello,
"The siteshaper and the template do not have a sub folder in the vertex folder called xml/language"
I just checked fresh copies of the template and site shaper and they are there. It sounds like you might be missing some files. I would recommend downloading a fresh copy of the template and simply extract all the files to templates/cyan/ to ensure that you have all the files.

HI Mike,
Still the same thing for me. I downloaded a fresh copy, ftp'ed it over and overwrote all the other files, and still the same.

Hello,
Which specific files did you over-write? Over-write this entire folder just make sure you have everything:
templates/cyan/vertex/ templates/cyan/xml/

not sure, whether this has been already solved.
same issue here. I could fix it by changing this two files: Specific.xml Vertex.xml
replace "en-GB" with your language id as I did for German. Make sure you also rename the files.
<languages folder="xml/language"> <language tag="de-DE">de-DE/de-DE.tpl_vertex.ini</language> </languages>
