New to Joomla, just installed this template, but there are missing images on the frontpage for the VM products. I did modify the administrator\components\com_virtuemart\virtuemart.cfg.php file. Any suggestions?

Hello,
Can you post the lines that you edited in administrator\components\com_virtuemart\virtuemart.cfg.php so that I can verify that they are right?

Hello,
One is showing with a www. and the other without. Try them both without.

Hey Mike,
I've tried it both ways, with and without the www. and still no VM images show.

Hmmmmm....that's really the only setting that would need to be changed in order for the pictures to show. I think I would try deleting the site shaper, download a fresh copy, and then perform the install again. It's possible there is something wrong with your copy of the site shaper, ie: maybe the download didn't completely successfully. I've seen it happen before.

Uuugh, okay, I'll try that I guess. Is it possible it could be the permissions of the images folder?

Hello,
You can double check your permissions under help/system information/directory permissions to make sure that all the folders are writable, but I don't think this is a permissions problem.

Problem solved ... I edited the php file in Dreamweaver instead of in the cPanel and uploaded the file again. Voila...
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
I am not sure what line the user edited in the php file but the images should be installed with VM directly. If you are using a newer version than what was included in the demo then this may be why the images are not displaying properly.
The template was designed for an older version of VM with different stock image files.
If you post a URL I can take a look.

Hello Mike.. happy you are online now.. I havent uploaded it yet. Its still on my localhost. However, I'm using the J1.5. But if you tell me where to goto to check where the module is pointing to, and what to do, i guess i can try.

Hello,
Could you be more specific as to which images aren't showing? If you point them out or post a URL copy to a test server I can take a look.
All the images for VM are installed with VM. When you are installing a newer version it is possible they removed some of the older image files and replaced them with newer ones located at a different path.

I am still editing in localhost. I viewed the URL of the missing files and they are pointing to: http://localhost/eshopper/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/resized/Plush_Wing_Chair_4d0664eed7472_155x100.jpg . Meanwhile the folder is http://localhost/worldwidefleet/components/..... so where do i edit the URL to point to the right folder. Im thinking it could resolve the issue.

Hello,
The image paths should be controlled through VM Manager since that is where they are generated.
