After following the installation instructions on site shaper (using eTensity), the last page does not contain the button to remove the "Installation Folder".

So, i manually removed it by FTP.

Back on the install screen:
I click the Admin button (to view installed)
and get
File or Directory not found

I click on the general public folder (http://website.com/shape5(for example))
and get
No configuration file found and no installation code available. Exiting...

im running PHP 5.2
i have had 1.5 joomla installed thru admin panel with no problem.
i extracted on my local then uploaded all files to server. WS_FTP was set on Auto, not sure if this is a problem.
never had any issues during install screen until the end.

any suggestions, thanks
matt

Yes 1.5 Joomla does not have auto remove install folder option so you would have to rename or remove installation folder.   As for no configuration file, this can be caused by permission issues.  So Joomla may try to create in last step but if it can't it gives you the configuration file in a small window in the last step so you can copy it and then create your own configuration.php file and upload

i added the permissions i setup during the install in the configuration section of the file and renamed it to just configuration.php...and it worked!
